This cottage was originally constructed as a dormitory for our family of Bornean Small Clawed Otters who lived with us for two and a half years. We can never describe the pleasure and enjoyment these little creatures brought into our lives. They were free to roam and eventually returned, with their young, to the forest and rivers surrounding our home. A massive extension and renovation project converted their bedroom into yours. One queen and two single beds with a comprehensively equipped kitchenette, air conditioning and ceiling fans make this room most inhabitable. Where the otter's once slid down into their plunge pool is now a few steps up to a large shower room. The panoramic window commands a stunning view across the city and the islands of the National Marine Park. Most of the paintings of otters surrounding the room are gifts from various guests who have enjoyed the special ambiance of this cottage. All the fresh flowers in your room come from the gardens surrounding Sinurambi.
